How can any list of the best par 3s on the PGA Tour not start with Pete Dye's diabolical 140-yard-ish, island (peninsula) green? When Dye was building out the Stadium Course, the space where the 17th hole is now was effectively a big ditch, moving earth around the property for myriad reasons. Turns out, Dye's wife, Alice, came up with the idea to fill the ditch with water and build a green in the middle of it.

The front pot bunker is a genius penalty if you are fortunate enough to remain on land, and the back-to-front sloping, multi-tier green offers opportunities to use spin to get close to a tight pin in the front or the back right portion of the green.
