Cobra Golf's new King Pur wedges are designed on the idea that a raw, untreated face will impart more spin on the ball, giving golfers better control with their scoring clubs.

The King Pur wedges are made from Raw 304 Stainless Steel to maximize spin and carry a finish that aims to reduce glare.s. The wedges sport Progressive Milled Grooves, which have wider grooves and closer gapping on higher-lofted (56-60 degrees) wedges, while thinner, more-spaced grooves are on the scoring wedges where full shots are typically used for consistency and distance control.

Variable Face Roughness milling techniques bring the King Pur wedges right up to the USGA limit for spin that can be imparted by the face excluding grooves.

There are three grinds available under the King Pur banner, offering versatility for golfers who don't all fit in the same bucket for approaching the short game.

  • The Versatile sole features heel and toe relief and a medium bounce to provide overall versatility on standard turf conditions
  • The Classic sole has a higher sole bounce (11-12 degrees) and progressively wider sole from heel to toe use in all-purpose situations
  • The WideLow option has a low bounce (4-7 degrees) with 6 sole that works well on soft and medium turf conditions

The Cobra Golf King Pur wedges will be available March 17 for $119 each in lofts ranging from 52-60 degrees with True Temper Dynamic Gold S200 shafts.
