WATCH: Dustin Johnson hits fairway, nearly hits Sky Sports golf commentator

Dustin Johnson darn well could have killed an unsuspecting Sky Sports golf commentator on Thursday in the opening round of the 2016 Tour Championship.

Johnson was hitting his tee shot on the par-4 17th at East Lake Golf Club, laying short with a fairway wood. It was going to the right side of the fairway when a man in the fairway suddenly jumps to evade the bouncing ball. That guy was Sky Sports golf commentator and former pro golfer Wayne Riley, who apparently wasn't paying enough attention to how far Johnson's ball was traveling.

Ultimately, the ball didn't hit Riley and landed in the fairway. Johnson went on to make par from there.

But maybe, going forward, it'd be good to wait until the ball hits the ground to waltz out onto the fairway.
