Jon Rahm has earned his 2016-17 PGA Tour card in just four starts as a professional.
Rahm finished tied for second at the 2016 RBC Canadian Open, putting him over the top in money earned that will certainly put him in the top 125 finishers at the end of the PGA Tour regular season. That guarantees Rahm will earn PGA Tour exempt status through non-member earnings.
In his four starts as a pro, Rahm has cashed all four times, finished T-3 at the Quicken Loans National, T-72 at the Barracuda Championship, T-59 at the Open Championship and his runner-up bid in Canada. In total, Rahm has made $868,008.20, which, as PGATour.com's Rob Bolton notes, would place him 102nd among PGA Tour members.

A non-member can also earn PGA Tour status through non-member FedEx Cup points. Not that it matters now to Rahm, but his 382.283 FedEx Cup points would put him at 129th in the standings.
Rahm joins Gary Hallberg, Scott Verplank, Phil Mickelson, Justin Leonard, Ryan Moore, Tiger Woods and Bud Cauley as players to avoid a Q-School or Web.com Tour stint, earning a PGA Tour card fresh out of college.
