Lexi Thompson is using a new putter, and it's pretty hard to miss -- not only seeing it, but also hitting the ball with it.

After spending a good chunk of the 2016 season, and winning the Honda LPGA Thailand, putting with her eyes closed, Thompson grew frustrated with the approach at the Kia Classic and decided to overhaul the entire thing ahead of the ANA Inspiration, the first major of the year.

Part of that overhaul was changing putters, going to the Cure Putter RX5 model. It's big. The head is 6 inches from end to end and, with removable weighting, can weigh anywhere from 361-615 grams. That's a lot of moment of inertia protection in both the size of the head -- the largest in the Cure RX line -- and the weighting, meaning it's more difficult for a less-than-ideal stroke to throw the putt offline.

The, center-head-mounted shaft (available in standard or offset) is also full adjustable so that a player can change the lie angle with a few simple adjustments. The player could even switch from righty to lefty.

The Cure Putters RX5 putter retails for $260.
