Tiger Woods donates $26,000 for a pair of Batman-themed shoes

Tiger Woods spent $26,000 for a pair of shoes last week. But it was for a good cause.

At a charity auction on Oct. 23 supporting OHSU Doernbecher Children's Hospital in Oregon, Woods, by proxy, laid down the winning bid on a pair of Batman-themed Nike skateboard shoes created by Isaiah Neumayer-Grubb, a patient at the hospital. The hospital regularly pairs patients with Nike designers, with the groups collaborating on a collection including shoes and apparel.

The auction featuring the apparel was part of a night-long gala supporting the hospital which raised over $1 million.

Nike will release a limited number of shoes and other apparel from the collaboration on Nov. 21.
