Web.com Tour player Peter Malnati got muddy on Thursday at the WinCo Foods Portland Open, and he wasn't too happy about it.

Malnati's second shot to the par-3 12th at Pumpkin Ridge landed in the hazard short of the green. At fourth on the tour's money list heading into this week's regular-season finale, Malnati had no reason to play conservative. He decided to play the shot from the muddy lie in hopes of saving a penalty stroke.

The ball wound up rolling back into the hazard and mud getting all over his light-colored clothes.

Malnati's reaction was hilarious, "Are you kidding me?! All of this for that?!"

He went on to make quadruple-bogey 7 en route to 4-over 74 in the first round.
