Tiger Woods jokes he’ll watch the PGA Championship at his restaurant

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. -- Tiger Woods won't be playing in the PGA Championship this weekend, so he's got some free time on his hands. What's he going to do? Well, watch the season's final major at his new restaurant, of course.

"What now? I'm going to go home and watch the leaders tee off and play," Woods said Saturday morning after polishing off a 1-over 73 that sent him packing from Whistling Straits. "Probably in Florida. Actually I'll go to my sports bar, how about that?"

Woods couldn't resist the plug for his new restaurant, The Woods Jupiter, which had a soft open a week ago and officially opened to the public on Monday. So far, the reviews have been solid for the modern-looking upscale sports bar, including rave reviews for the Nutella s'mores desserts and the fresh fruit garnishes in the cocktails.

What's in question next is if Woods will actually play in next week's Wyndham Championship. The PGA Tour announced late Friday that Woods had committed to play in the Greensboro, N.C., event for the first time in his career, just minutes after play was called for the day in light of nasty storms blowing through Whistling Straits. However, Woods and agent Mark Steinberg seemed to backpedal some from the commitment even later on Friday and after the Saturday completion of his second round.

"I'm just going to sit back and I'll go through with my team, we'll talk about [playing in the Wyndham], what I need to do and see if that's the right move or not," Woods said. "We'll decide next couple days."
