The PGA Tour's slogan (still) is: "These guys are good." Maybe they should change it to: "Shut up! We've got this."

Bubba Watson found himself in a spot of trouble on Sunday in the final round of the Travelers Championship at TPC River Highlands. In deep rough and seemingly stymied by a tree on the par-4 second hole, Watson was given some unsolicited advice by a fan in his gallery. The fan figured Watson, who had 100 yards left to the hole, should pull out a 4-iron and punch the ball up toward the green.

Watson disagreed and told the fan so, saying, "That’s why you’re on that side of the ropes." Then Watson showed the fan how he executes that shot, smashing a sand wedge to birdie range, which he made.

After the shot, Watson went looking for the likely embarrassed fan and asked, “Who wanted the 4-iron punch?”

We're not totally sure Watson was joking or even gently ribbing the fan in question, but, seriously, he had it the whole way.
