PREVIEW: Nike Golf Method Prototype 006 putter

FOLLOW: iHEART | TUNEIN

A lot of people want the putter Rory McIlroy has in his bag. While there's no secret mojo in the flatstick itself -- just in the person stroking it -- the Nike Method Prototype 006 putter has futilely been on the wish list of a lot of recreational players. That's because the club hasn't been available to the public -- that is, until April 15.

The putter is a variation on the company's Method line, which sports a grooved face which has an injected polymer inside grooves that help the ball get started rolling more quickly. The head has an Anser-style look and is designed to provide a soft feel at impact.

Nike Golf is releasing a limited number of the putters online on Tax Day and in stores on April 17 and will run $450.
