Sometimes, it's better to be lucky than good.

Brandt Snedeker hit a perfect drive to No. 18 at Bay Hill in Round 1 of the Arnold Palmer Invitational but was still left with the precarious approach shot over water to a green going away from the player. Snedeker thought he hit his approach fairly well. Then it hit the rocks in front of the green -- not once, but twice -- before landing on the green just feet from the hole.

Naturally, Snedeker took the good luck in stride, taking a bow for the crowd and getting congratulations from his playing partners.

The Pebble Beach winner made the turn in 3-under 33.
