Little boy sent money to PGA Tour pro so he could buy balls to sign

Cory Renfrew made a little boy's day at the Waste Management Phoenix Open, so the boy wanted to help Renfrew do the same for other kids.

The 28-year-old Canadian, who won the Phoenix Open Monday qualifier, walked up to 9-year-old Jack Davis during the tournament and handed him an autographed ball. Davis was so happy he wrote Renfrew a thank-you letter. In the letter was also a $20 bill.

"Thank you for the autographed ball," reads Davis' letter, according to AZFamily.com. "I would be pleased to follow you on PGA Tour and Facebook. Take the money off of here and feel free to spend it on more golf balls for autographing for people."

So what did Renfrew do in response? He showed up to Davis' school with a dozen autographed Titleists for Davis and his friends.

"There was just something about, you know, hearing his story and kind of how much it meant to him," Renfrew said. "I have a ton of golf balls just sitting around and I thought, you know, if I signed a few more and gave them to him so he could give to his friends, it would make him feel good and also his friends as well."
