On Sunday, Lydia Ko almost earned $100,000 for every year she's been alive.

Shooting a 4-under 68 to close at the CME Group Tour Championship in Naples, Fla., Ko first clinched the first season-long Race to the CME Globe on the LPGA Tour and its $1 million first-place prize. At 10-under total, Ko then found herself in a playoff with Julieta Granada and Carlota Ciganda for the year's final tournament. Ko made four pars, dispatching Granada, then Ciganda, to win the tournament and the $500,000 winner's check.

The New Zealander's haul is the biggest single payday in women's golf history.

The win was Ko's third on the year, adding to the inaugural Swinging Skirts LPGA Classic in April and the Marathon Classic in July. She has five LPGA wins and doesn't turn 18 until April.

The next step for Ko? A major title.
