Dustin Johnson has been on a leave of absence from the PGA Tour since July 31. In the three-and-a-half months since, Johnson's largely been a recluse, rarely seen in public. He has also apparently not been communicating with his equipment sponsor, TaylorMade-adidas Golf, which has backed him for all eight of his PGA Tour wins.

Ben Sharpe, CEO of TaylorMade-adidas Golf, said Thursday the company hasn't spoken with Johnson during his leave of absence.

“Dustin is a great player and I think it’s important to hear from him about the process he’s going through, to hear about his plans and to have a conversation when that time is right,” Sharpe said, according to Bloomberg News.

Johnson's contract with TaylorMade runs through the end of 2015. The company did not say if it has considered prematurely terminating that partnership.
