It sure sounds like Lorena Ochoa is missing competitive golf, even if only a little bit.
Ochoa, who is preparing to play in the pro-am for next month's Lorena Ochoa Invitational in Mexico, told Golfweek her goal is to be able to compete in her limited-field event in 2015. If that goes well, Ochoa said she'd consider playing in a small number of LPGA events in the United States in 2016. Of course, it's easy to speculate Ochoa's interested in competing in golf's return to the Olympics.
In 2010, Ochoa walked away from the LPGA to raise a family with husband Andres Conesa. The couple have two children together, as well three children from Conesa's first marriage. Ochoa's children are 3 and just under 1 year old, respectively.
