Andy Sullivan is a pro golfer. With his ace on Sunday in the final round of the European Tour's KLM Open, however, he'll also become an astronaut.
Sullivan made an ace on the 160-yard, par-3 15th hole at Kennemer G&CC, using a 9-iron to earn a rather unique prize. The Englishman has earned a trip to space courtesy of hole sponsor XCOR Space Expeditions. The tours, which will start in the second half of 2015, will take customers paying $95,000 for the ride 39 miles into outer space before returning to Earth.
The prize dangled over the tournament throughout the week, with Sullivan finally cashing in as part of the penultimate group of the tournament.
