Donald Trump doesn’t like FootGolf; FootGolf is coming to Trump Doral

Donald Trump may have changed his mind about FootGolf.

FootGolf -- or, as his staff calls it, soccer golf -- will be played at an Aug. 22 event at Trump Doral resort near Miami. It'll be played on a course built into the resort's driving range, complete with a DJ and food and drink for purchase. Resort guests can play the course for free.

Playing FootGolf on one of Trump's properties, however, comes into conflict with the thoughts he shared on the sport back in May with golf.com.

“We’re bringing the game down with these 15-inch holes and ‘let’s play soccer golf,’” Trump said. “Golf should be an aspirational game. We should keep it a high level and not bring it down because a group of people want to sell some more golf clubs or golf balls.”
