Zach Johnson had a 7-iron in his hand on the par-3 ninth hole in the final round of the 2014 U.S. Open, teeing off 172 yards away from the hole.
He pulled the tee shot a little, but it landed just enough left of the hole to start trickling toward and, eventually, into the cup.
In celebration, Johnson did the full-on Hale Irwin celebration from the 1990 U.S. Open at Medinah No. 3, slapping the hands of the spectators on either side of the hole.
Another intriguing note is that Johnson's playing partner on Sunday, Kenny Perry, was also playing partner when now NBC Sports analyst Peter Jacobsen made an ace on the same hole in the U.S. Open.
