There are a lot of perks that come with winning the US Women's Open in golf.

Aside from the US Women's Open first-place prize money, which is $2.5 million, or 20 percent of the total purse, a US Women's Open winner earns entry into the US Women's Open for 10 years, entry into the other four LPGA-sanctioned majors for years to come, as well as LPGA Tour exemptions and other goodies.

Let's lay out all the benefits of winning the US Women's Open, showing what the US Women's Open winner gets

The perks of winning the US Women's Open: What a US Women's Open winner gets

  • Prestige, obviously -- you're in a limited company of players to ever win the US Women's Open
  • The US Women's Open trophy: US Women's Open champions get a trophy that is theirs to keep for a year as champion and return ahead of the next US Women's Open, a replica of which they can purchase and keep
  • 10-year exemption: You're in the US Women's Open for the next 10 years
  • Other major exemptions: You're in the Chevron Championship, KPMG Women's PGA Championship, the AIG Women's Open and the Amundi Evian Chapionship for five years
  • You get a 5-year exemption on the LPGA Tour for winning a major, and you can pretty much set your schedule for two years
  • You get a spot in the Hiltron Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions for two years on the LPGA Tour
  • You get 100 Rolex Women's World Golf Ranking points, which pretty much locks up a spot in the top 50 in the World Golf Ranking for 18 months, no matter what
  • You get 650 Race to the CME Globe points
  • You get big Solheim Cup points if you're an American or European player
