Shane Lowry is the undisputed hole-in-one king in professional golf, and he added to his incredible resume on Saturday in the third round of the 2026 Masters.
With a 7-iron from 190 yards, Lowry made an ace on the par-3 sixth hole at Augusta National. The shot hit softly enough on the back left of the top tier where the hole was located, rolling in for a 1 on the card.
For Lowry, that took him into a share of second place, behind fellow Irishman Rory McIlroy, as he seeks a second-career major championship.
Lowry is now the first player in the history of the Masters Tournament with multiple career holes-in-one, as he made an ace in the 2016 Masters on the 16th hole.
In case you're wondering if Lowry can Pokemon at Augusta National and ace all the par 3s, it's a mighty difficult task. There has only been one hole-in-one on the 4th hole in the history of the Masters (Jeff Sluman, 1992) and three ever on the 12th (Curtis Strange was last in 1988).
There is no one in golf with a better list of holes-in-one than Lowry, who has tournament holes in one that include No. 7 at Pebble Beach Golf Links in the 2025 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and No. 17 at TPC Sawgrass in The Players Championship in 2022.
