The 2026 The Players Championship weather forecast looks to show some significant chance of rain falling at TPC Sawgrass on Thursday and championship Sunday.

Thursday's first day of tournament action see partly cloudy conditions, though the temperatures will be in the mid-70s. There is a 50-50 chance of rain in the area in the afternoon, and that rain is likely to be part of a pattern of thunderstorms which could cause a suspension of play.

On Friday and Saturday, the forecast is excellent, with mostly sunny conditions on Friday and a few passing clouds on Saturday. Temperatures both days are in the low 70s.

The Sunday weather forecast is not particularly good, calling for a 60 percent chance of a steady rain amid 75-degree temperatures.

However, if the weather and timing of the week is thrown off such that the tournament would need to finish on Monday (and the PGA Tour will do everything in their power to avoid that), the Monday weather forecast also calls for a 60 percent chance of thunderstorms. If the forecast holds, anticipate the Tour moving up Sunday tee times.
