Neal Shipley made the first hole-in-one in TGL history in his debut match in the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
Shipley, who played as a substitute for the The Bay GC in his first-ever appearance in the hybrid indoor-golf league, holed out from 110 yards on the fifth hole of the match, played under the triples alternate-shot format.
The Korn Ferry Tour graduate from 2025 hit a wedge into the screen -- well, the very top of the screen -- on the Set in Stone par 3. The ball hit about 15 feet past the flag and spun back on the simulated green and into the hole for the first ace in the league's short history.

The hole typically plays 210 yards, but it was drastically shortened for this particular match. Previously, Collin Morikawa held the record for the closest tee shot on the hole, hitting it to 2 feet, 3 inches in the second match of this season.
Shipley's teammate, Luke Clanton, told him that he should go on and make an ace on the fifth hole after the fourth hole was finished. Shipley obliged.
As a result of Shipley's ace, Tommy Fleetwood, playing first for Los Angeles Golf Club, had to equal that ace to halve the hole. Fleetwood wasn't able to do so, and The Bay took a 4-0 lead in the match.
Shipley made his TGL debut after making his first cut as a full-time PGA Tour player, finishing T-68 in the WM Phoenix Open.
