The event starts with a field of 147 players playing for a $9.6 million purse that will determine this year's PGA Tour winner at Torrey Pines.
The field will be cut after two rounds -- one for each player on the North and South Course -- to the top 65 players and ties for the closing two rounds on the weekend, all played on the South Course.
The Farmers Insurance Open TV schedule is packed with hours of coverage, with ESPN, CBS and Golf Channel airing the championship Thursday through Sunday with live golf action from the San Diego area.
