We now know the first cluster of LPGA Tour players that will be part of the opening season of Women's TGL (WTGL), with the hybrid indoor golf league aiming to start in the winter after the conclusion of the 2026 LPGA Tour season.
The group includes world No. 1 Jeeno Thitikul, world No. 5 Charley Hull, LPGA Hall-of-Famer Lydia Ko, multi-time major winner Brooke Henderson and seven-time U.S. Solheim Cup team member Lexi Thompson.
“WTGL will be a global stage to showcase LPGA Tour stars, and this first wave of committed players represents that opportunity with some of the world’s best,” said Mike McCarley, founder and CEO, TMRW Sports, in a release announcing the player commitments.
“These players will thrive in WTGL’s competitive environment as fans will witness their skill and connect more deeply with their personalities through the unprecedented access the league delivers with every player mic’d in the modern match play team format.”
WTGL will feature LPGA Tour players competing in a team match play format similar to the existing TGL league. It will all be played out of SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., which feature a unique blend of simulator golf and traditional golf in a stadium setting.
Former US soccer star Alex Morgan’s Trybe Ventures is the lead capital partner for WTGL, with more investment groups and more details to be announced soon.
