The 2026 TGL purse is set for $21 million, with the winners' share coming in at $9,000,000 -- not the standard 18 percent payout according to the PGA Tour's prize money distribution chart.
The 2026 TGL field is headed by Rory McIlroy, Xander Schauffele, Ludvig Aberg, Justin Thomas and more of the world's best players.
The 24-player field competes in the first year of the unique indoor hybrid golf league at SoFi Center in Florida.
The regular season consists of a round robin of five matches for each team, with teams earning 2 points for a match win, 0 points for a regulation loss and 1 point for an overtime loss. The four teams with the most points qualified for the semifinal round of the playoffs.
In the playoffs, the semifinal rounds are standard 15-hole matches, with nine holes of three-person alternate-shot match play followed by six holes of alternating singles match play. In the finals, the surviving two teams will compete in a best-of-three series to determine a champion.
The prize-money payout is spread out among the six teams, with the highest concentration at the top two spots. The final match will be for $4.5 million. In the event of a tie between teams in season-long records, then total holes won in the season dictates who wins the tie.
The event is played this year at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
