Scottie Scheffler has been recognized by his peers as the PGA Tour Player of the Year for the fourth year in a row.
Scheffler won six times in 2025, including his third major at the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow in North Carolina and his fourth major title at the Open Championship at Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland. Scheffler was the FedEx Cup leader at the end of the regular season and through two playoff events after winning the BMW Championship at Caves Valley in Maryland.
In addition to the two major wins and the playoff victory, Scheffler won The CJ Cup Byron Nelson and matched the PGA Tour's 72-hole record score on 31-under 253. He also won the Memorial Tournament for the second year in a row, and he won his Ryder Cup warm-up start at the Procore Championship in Napa, California.
Scheffler joined Tiger Woods as the only players to record six or more wins in multiple seasons since 1983, despite missing two planned starts at the beginning of the year after an unfortunate cooking incident led to broken glass in his hand, requiring surgery.

Potgieter wins Rookie of the Year
Aldrich Potgieter was also announced as winner of the PGA Tour's Rookie of the Year award, known as the Arnold Palmer Award.
Potgieter won the 2025 Rocket Classic, was one of five rookies to win on the PGA Tour in 2025 and the only rookie to qualify for the FedEx Cup Playoffs. He is the third South African winner of the Arnold Palmer Award, joining Ernie Els (1994) and Trevor Immelman (2006).
A winner at 20 years, 9 months, 16 days, Potgieter prevailed in a three-man playoff against Chris Kirk and Max Greyserman, at Detroit Golf Club. Potgieter was also a playoff runner-up at the VidantaWorld Mexico Open and posted a T-6 finishe at the Charles Schwab Challenge. He led the PGA Tour in driving distance as well, averaging 325 yards off the tee for the season.
