Sqairz introduces the Speed3 SL, the company’s first spikeless shoe

The calling card of Sqairz golf shoes -- and now baseball, softball and pickleball as well -- has long been superior stability that allows golfers to better use the ground to create power and improve the quality of their swing at impact.

Since the company debuted in 2020, that has meant shoes all designed with the patented Sqairz toe box designed to allow the foot to lay flat and free, the wider silhouette that offers more traction points with the ground and better overall stability -- and golf spikes.

Now, for the first time, Sqairz is offering a spikeless shoe with their new Speed3 SL.

The Speed3 SL (standing for spikeless) builds upon the major design improvements in the Speed2, ProS2 and Velo LT-X. All three models are substantially lighter than their predecessors thanks to improved materials, including in the midsole and outsole. Now, the Speed3 SL brings the comfort of a spikeless shoe and additional weight savings that come from not having spikes and spike ports in the outsole.

The new SmartTraction outsole seeks to offer maximum stability and performance in a spikeless shoe, putting the Sqairz spin on a popular segment of golf shoes.

“Golfers have been asking us for an athletic spikeless option that still feels built for performance,” said Robert Winskowicz, Sqairz founder and CEO. “Speed3 SL brings our traction-first philosophy into a lighter, more versatile silhouette. It’s designed for golfers who expect comfort in every step and confidence in every swing.”

In a call over the summer, Winskowicz shared his excitement about making the foray into spikeless, which makes up somewhere between 55 and 60 percent of golf-shoe sales. Though Winskowicz is a big advocate of spiked footwear, having poured into a ton of research about the value of spikes to the golfer, he couldn't ignore consumer demand. So, instead, he sought to deliver spikeless that was as close as he could make it to his spiked products.

The Speed3 SL also has a new, premium Blumaka performance footbed. Sqairz will be using Blumaka footbed in their shoes moving forward, giving the customer a product valued at $60 and included in every pair. The footbed, which I've been independently wearing in all of my Sqairz golf shoes for the last three years, is made to deliver comfort, durability and under-foot stability to keep the foot in place throughout the swing and long days on the course.

The Speed3 SL is initially available starting December 9. The shoes will be available in Bolt Blue and Navy Surge colorways, with a third colorway debuting in 2026, for $170 per pair.
