At first glance, Honma Golf and Malbon probably seem like unlikely collaborators.
Honma, based in Sakata, Japan, makes incredible golf equipment -- and much of it is focused on the high-end consumer looking to get the most performance benefit from cutting-edge technology.
Malbon, from Los Angeles, is seen more as a disruptor in defining golf and golf-adjacent apparel.
However, there is a big intersection in the Venn diagram linking Honma's commitment to beautiful, well-crafted performance equipment and Malbon's chameleon-like ability to create apparel and accessories that bring out the best, boldest vision of a brand. That has manifest itself in a new collaborative collection, including Honma equipment with Malbon touches and Malbon apparel and accessories influenced by the Honma aesthetic.
"Partnering with Honma felt like a seamless fit,” said Stephen and Erica Malbon, co-founders of Malbon. “Our shared commitment to precision and compelling design drives this collaboration, reflected in a curated collection of clubs and accessories for our player.”
There are two separate collections in the collaboration. Each collection tells a color story influenced by the intensity of color that comes the changing of the seasons brings. Golden hues represent the Honma brand, while the green represents the Malbon influence.
The Performance collection equipment is accentuated by Midori - a rich emerald green - in the men’s clubs, and a rose gold named Tonoko in the women’s clubs.
The Premium collection looks to offer more refinement and luxury, with Honma's BERES Nx and BERES 4-star line. The designs blend timeless Japanese artistry with modern expression. The men’s Premium is stylized in Sumi and Tonoko—black and gold—and the women’s design in a Shishi and Tonoko—pink and gold—color story.
“Honma Golf is proud to introduce this collaborative collection with Malbon Golf, an influential brand that continues to bring fresh energy and authenticity to the game,” said Liu Jianguo, Chairman of the Board, President, and Executive Director of HONMA Golf.
“This creative, style- and performance-driven collection reflects the shared vision of two culturally iconic brands — combining Honma’s revered craftsmanship with Malbon’s modern, fashion-forward bravado.”

The fairway woods and hybrids feature a titanium frame, carbon crown and stainless-steel sole, bringing weight down and back to lower the center of gravity for higher-launching, forgiving shots.
The irons feature tungsten weights, vibration-dampening resin bars and an L-cup face produces fast ball speeds and distance with a low center of gravity to create and easy-to-hit iron.
The high-MOI mallet putter is double CNC-milled for feel, while an aluminum soleplate and vent shaft neck inspire confidence give a classic look.

The fairway woods and hybrids use a 14-gram back-heel weight to encourage a draw bias. A variable-thickness face and crown expand the sweet spot, while each club’s center of gravity is individually tuned for ideal trajectory and consistency.
The irons feature a vibration-absorbing resin mid-layer and a wide L-cup face that maximizes energy transfer.
