Michael Brennan is the breakthrough winner of the 2025 Bank of Utah Championship, the PGA Tour's fourth event of the FedEx Cup Fall, played at Black Desert Resort in Ivins, Utah. After having a great season on PGA Tour Americas, Michael Brennan won a huge breakthrough.
Brennan is 23 years old, and he is in the field at the 2025 Bank of Utah Championship as a sponsor exemption after a great season to win the PGA Tour Americas points list, the Fortinet Cup, to earn full Korn Ferry Tour membership in 2026.
For Brennan, his journey to the PGA Tour is a remarkable story.
Brennan was born in Leesburg, Virginia. He played college golf at Wake Forest University and just wrapped up his second season on PGA Tour Americas.
Brennan is hitting his prime
Michael Brennan has won at every level, including as an amateur and after he turned pro in 2024. He had a modest first season on the circuit before winning three times in 2025 to get a promotion to the Korn Ferry Tour and win the PGA Tour Americas points race.
Brennan had yet to win on the PGA Tour, but now he has won on the PGA Tour, earning a two-year exemption, 500 FedEx Cup Fall points and an outside chance to get into Nos. 51-60 in the final standings at the end of the FedEx Cup Fall.
Entering this week, Brennan was not ranked in FedEx Cup points and ranked 111th in the Official World Golf Ranking.
In his personal life, Brennan is single.
What a win at the Bank of Utah Championship means
With a win today, Brennan earned the benefits of being a PGA Tour winner, including a two-year PGA Tour exemption. He will get into The Players Championship, at least one Signature event (RBC Heritage) in 2026 and likely the PGA Championship. And, according to the 2025 Bank of Utah Championship payout, he won $1.080 million to top it all off.
