Korn Ferry Tour moving season-ending Tour Championship from Indiana to Virginia

The Dye Course is an incredible test

The season-ending Korn Ferry Tour Championship is moving from southern Indiana to Richmond, Virginia.

After two seasons on the Pete Dye Course at French Lick Resort and seven seasons in southern Indiana, the Korn Ferry Tour Championship will be played at the Federal Club in Richmond, starting in 2026.

The Korn Ferry Tour Championship presented by United Leasing & Finance, which is based in Evansville, Indiana, was hosted at Victoria National Golf Club in Newburgh, Indiana, from 2019-2023 and had been at French Lick Resort since 2024. United Leasing and Finance has been a Korn Ferry Tour sponsor dating back to 2012, with the formation of the United Leasing & Finance Championship through 2018. In 2019, the company became presenting sponsor of the season-ending event. United Leasing and Finance was a primary sponsor on the Korn Ferry Tour for 14 seasons.

“French Lick Resort is proud to have hosted the Korn Ferry Tour Championship and contribute  to the event’s success,” said French Lick Resort CEO Chuck Franz in a release. “It has been an honor to be  part of the memorable journey for Korn Ferry Tour players who achieved their professional  dream here at French Lick. We look forward to elevating the game in new ways at our world-class golf destination.”

The Tour chose to move the event to the Virginia capital, where the PGA Tour Champions had most recently been playing the opening leg of their three-event Charles Schwab Cup playoffs. The final Dominion Energy Charity Classic was played last weekend, with the Country Club of Virginia ending its run of hosting the event that dates back to 2016.

The Korn Ferry Tour announced a four-year agreement with Henrico Economic Development Authority, Henrico Sports & Entertainment Authority, Richmond Region Tourism, the Virginia Tourism Corp and the Federal Club to host the season-ending event. The event will now be presented by "Virginia's Richmond Region." The Tour had previously announced a five-year agreement to host the event at French Lick Resort.

“This community has been an incredible host to a PGA Tour Champions event for a decade, and we’re looking forward to building on the foundation they’ve established in this area,” said Korn Ferry Tour president Alex Baldwin said in a prepared statement.

The Federal Club is a private Arnold Palmer-designed course located near the Hanover-Henrico County line, winding through a residential development. Henrico County purchased The Crossings Golf Club, located near Virginia Center Commons, for $3 million in 2024, with the intent to renovate it to host the now-ended PGA Tour Champions event in 2026.

“This tournament is a golden opportunity,” said Hanover County’s tourism director Rachel Smith. “It’s rare to be able to launch a tourism brand and immediately connect it to a national event that draws thousands of visitors and viewers. It’s the perfect springboard to encourage people to visit and explore all that Hanover has to do.”

The 2026 Korn Ferry Tour Championship will be played Oct. 5–11, 2026.
