Every 2025 PGA Tour event purse and winner’s share, ranked from biggest to smallest

The PGA Tour logo

The PGA Tour has 46 official tournaments on its 2025 PGA Tour schedule, with prize money totaling at least $565,400,000. There's a lot of money on the line from the beginning of the season in January to the end of the season with the culmination of the FedEx Cup Fall in November.

The PGA Tour prize money and winner's share of that purse are different for every event and range substantially from biggest to smallest. The winner's share at most PGA Tour events is 18 percent of the total purse, though there are two majors, three Signature events and the Tour Championship that do not pay that figure. The two majors -- the Masters and US Open -- and the player-hosted Signature events pay 20 percent of the purse to the winner, while the Tour Championship purse pays 25 percent to the winner.

Not every tournament has the same purse. In fact, purses in PGA Tour events range from $4 million to $25 million in 2025. The smallest purse belongs to the Puerto Rico Open, as well the ISCO Championship, Barracuda Championship, ONEFlight Myrtle Beach Classic and Corales Puntacana Championship. The largest purse belongs to The Players Championship, which now boasts a $25 million purse.

The four major championships are expected to have a purse of at least $17.5 million, while the 13 PGA Tour-owned elevated events will have a purse of at least $20 million. The Arnold Palmer Invitational, The Genesis Invitational and Jack Nicklaus' the Memorial Tournament share the Signature distinction with purses at $20 million, as do the Travelers Championship, RBC Heritage, Truist Championship and The Sentry.

There are purses of every size in between.

The two FedEx Cup playoff events have the same purse of $20 million.

With the Tour Championship now representing the final event for the FedEx Cup schedule and having an official purse of its own, it has a payout of $40 million for the 30 qualifying players.

Only five tournaments have a first-place payout of less than $1 million.
