2025 BMW PGA Championship: Expert picks, DP World Tour field rankings and fantasy golf tips

A picture of golfer Rory McIlroy

The DP World Tour this week features the 2025 BMW PGA Championship starting on Thursday at Wentworth Club in Virginia Water, England.

My DP World Tour field ranking for BMW PGA Championship looks at the top 10 players in this 144-player field that brings together the best in the world for the flagship event on the DP World Tour.

The BMW PGA Championship is the biggest event of the year on the schedule, and Wentworth Club is a tremendous, if quirky, test.

Just a reminder that I make my expert picks looking at all fantasy leagues and formats. Whether you're playing in a fantasy golf leagues, betting on golf, or competing in a DFS (DraftKings, FanDuel) event, our picks highlight the top DP World Tour golfers to watch this week from our 2025 BMW PGA Championship rankings.

2025 BMW PGA Championship expert picks and rankings

1. Rory McIlroy: McIlroy just won the Irish Open for the second time, doing it in dramatic fashion. He returns here after losing in a playoff against Billy Horschel last year.

2. Jon Rahm: Rahm hasn't won this year, but he's been a runner-up magnet on LIV Golf and has played well in this venue in the past.

3. Tommy Fleetwood: Fleetwood won the Tour Championship, has enjoyed a solid record here and should be quite confident.

4. Viktor Hovland: Hovland has been fifth here twice in the last three years, and this could be a great venue for him.

5. Ludvig Aberg: Ludvig had a better finish to the PGA Tour season after a horrid middle, and he was T-10 here in 2023.

6. Shane Lowry: Lowry is coming off a good finish in his home-nation open last week and returns to a venue where he won in 2022.

7. Ryan Fox: Fox won here two years ago and has enjoyed a multi-win season on the PGA Tour, so he should be fairly confident.

8. Aaron Rai: Rai has to feel somewhat hurt to not get much of a chance at the Ryder Cup team, and he can be motivated to thrive at a venue where he's been T-2 and T-4 the last two years.

9. Tyrrell Hatton: Hatton was joint runner-up to Ryan Fox in 2023, and that's really his best work here the last few years.

10. Billy Horschel: Horschel has won here twice, and he's a threat to consider despite a down year.
