Spain will host the 2031 Ryder Cup, with Camiral Resort -- formerly known as PGA Catalunya -- in the Costa Brava region of the country welcoming the biennial matches pitting Europe's best 12 male players and the 12 best American men.

Ryder Cup Europe announced the new host that will follow Ireland's Adare Manor in 2027 as the next European host site. Hazletine National in Minnesota will host the 2029 Ryder Cup in the United States, and then Camiral, located about an hour northeast of Barcelona, will take the honors.

It will be the second time Spain has hosted the Ryder Cup, 34 years after Seve Ballesteros captained Europe to victory at Valderrama in 1997. In hosting in 2031, Spain will become the first country in continental Europe to host the Ryder Cup multiple times. A total of 11 Spaniards have represented Europe in the Ryder Cup, tied for the second-highest number of any European country other than England.

Camiral has been a consistent host of the DP World Tour, including Q-School many times. As part of the agreement, Barcelona-based beer company Estrella Damm will become the official beer of the 2031 Ryder Cup and title sponsor of a five-year run for the Estrella Damm Catalunya Championship. The deal starts in 2026, and Camiral will host the 2028, 2029 and 2030 editions of the tournament. Estrella Damm has been a long-time DP World Tour sponsor of the Andalucia Masters.

“Today’s announcement not only recognises Camiral as one of Europe’s leading venues, but also the considerable contribution Spanish golf has made to the proud history of the Ryder Cup," said Guy Kinnings, Chief Executive of the European Tour Group.
