The 2025 Travelers Championship is played this year at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Conn.

The tournament's host course has been at the Hartford course for 40 years, and it has been considered an excellent, if not susceptible, test throughout.

TPC River Highlands plays as a par-70 golf course, playing to a scorecard distance of 6,844 yards, making it one of the shortest golf course on the PGA Tour. Four courses on the PGA Tour player under 7,000 yards, and two of them are for the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

TPC River Highlands scorecard breakdown

TPC River Highlands has two par 5s, four par 3s and 12 par 4s, and the golf course finishes with an incredible par-4 finish with a challenging tee shot and a difficult uphill approach shot.

The par 3s have a variety of looks and lengths, though they tend to play in the mid-to-long-iron range.

The par 4s are the biggest test of the course, ranging in length, style and challenge. It is a position golf course above all. The landing areas can be generous, but a player needs to be comfortable playing between the trees and avoiding tight drop-offs in playing space.

The golf course does give up good scores, but a player has to hit a good shot to get the payoff. Poor tee shots can be thrown into penalty areas and nasty places.

Putting is crucial in this tournament because a player has to go quite low to be able to win.
