The 2025 US Women's Open is played this year at Erin Hills Golf Course in Erin, Wisconsin.

The tournament's host course moves around, and this is the first time the 2017 US Open host has welcomed the biggest championship in women's golf.

Erin Hills Golf Course plays as a par-72 golf course, playing to a scorecard distance of 6,765 yards, making it one of the mid-range-length golf courses on the LPGA Tour.

Erin Hills Golf Course scorecard breakdown

Erin Hills Golf Course has four par 5s, four par 3s and 10 par 4s, and the golf course finishes with an incredible par-5 finish with a difficult decision to make with a downwind breeze.

The par 3s have a variety of looks, though they all are around 140-155 yards, though the sixth hole is a tough uphill par 3 close to 200 yards.

Erin Hills Golf Course course breakdown

Now that we know the layout of the golf course, what else makes Erin Hills Golf Course a challenge?

Erin Hills is often about decisions about how aggressive to be off the tee. There's plenty of room to play a more conservative brand, but the course gets tougher.

Wind is the biggest factor in determining the difficulty of the course, because with large green complexes, the targets are plenty big without significant breeze.
