The LPGA Tour this week features the 2025 The Chevron Championship starting on Thursday at The Club at Carlton Woods in The Woodlands, Texas.

My LPGA Tour field ranking for The Chevron Championship looks at the top 10 players in this 132-player field that brings together the best golfers in the world to the Houston area for the first major of the season.

The Chevron Championship is a fantastic tournament, and it has added new traditions to the tournament as it has moved to Texas. Nelly Korda defends this week after taking this title amid an historic run on the LPGA>

The Club at Carlton Woods is long and challenging for the LPGA's best. When the wind kicks up, particularly in the prevailing direction, the course gets a whole lot longer. The targets are pretty big for approach shots, but the large putting surfaces can leave some challenging two-putts.

Just a reminder that I make my expert picks looking at all fantasy leagues and formats. Whether you're playing in a fantasy golf leagues, betting on golf, or competing in a DFS (DraftKings, FanDuel) event, our picks highlight the top LPGA Tour golfers to watch this week from our 2025 The Chevron Championship rankings.

2025 The Chevron Championship expert picks and rankings

1. Nelly Korda: Korda hasn't won yet this year, but she has been in contention, and has found herself stumbling some in weekend rounds. Still, her talent is superior, and it fits this course well.

2. Jeeno Thitikul: The Thai star won in Saudi Arabia already this year and was T-2 in Singapore. It's a matter of time before the major breakthrough happens.

3. Lydia Ko: Ko won in Singapore and has been in the top six in two other tournaments. She was T-17 here last year after missing the cut in 2023.

4. A Lim Kim: A Lim won the season-opener in Orlando, and she hasn't finished outside the top 17 yet this season. She won her first major in the Houston area at the December 2020 US Women's Open.

5. Lilia Vu: The winner here two years ago, Vu lost a playoff in Arizona at the Ford Championship. The concern is that's her only top-28 finish so far this season.

6. Hannah Green: Green is playing with great form, notching three top-10 finishes in her last four LPGA starts. The knock? Two missed cuts in a row here.

7. Angel Yin: Yin had a great chance to win here two years ago in a playoff, and she's a winner here this year already, although the full results set is a bit erratic.

8. Miyu Yamashita: Yamashita did so well last year in limited LPGA play, and she's doing just as well with a full slate this year. Her time is coming.

9. Lauren Coughlin: Coughlin had a close run last week in the Los Angeles area but couldn't quite get there against Ingrid Lindblad.

10. Ayaka Furue: Furue is always a threat on the LPGA given her consistent, disciplined play. She has been in the top 10 in six of eight starts this season.
