On Sunday at Innisbrook Resort's Copperhead Course in Palm Harbor, Florida, the 2025 Valspar Championship will be decided at one of the toughest courses on the 2025 PGA Tour schedule.

The winner's share of Valspar Championship purse is a lot of money, and the first-place payout is commensurate with winning the biggest event on the PGA Tour.

The 2025 Valspar Championship purse is $8.7 million, which $300,000 higher than in 2024.

The Valspar Championship pays 18 percent of the total purse to the winner, so the 2025 Valspar Championship winner's share is $1,566,000 as the first-place payout.

Peter Malnati won $1,512,000 last year in winning at the Copperhead in a surprising victory.

Taylor Moore won $1,458,000 as the 2023 Valspar Championship winner, holding off Jordan Spieth for a breakthrough win.

The year prior, Sam Burns won $1,404,000 as the 2022 Valspar Championship winner's share in winning the event for the second year running.

In this event, every player finishing the event earns official prize money, with the last-place finishing professional earning $16,443. Every player making the cut also earns FedEx Cup points, with the winner receiving 500 points. The winner receives 59 Official World Golf Ranking points.

The biggest purse in professional golf belongs to Valspar Championship, which is currently at $25 million. The first two FedEx Cup playoff events and nine PGA Tour Signature events are tied for second best with a $20 million purse each.

The tournament with the highest first-place payout in all of professional golf is also Valspar Championship, whose 2025 champion will win $4,500,000, making it the biggest first-place payout in all of golf.

The three player-hosted Signature events -- The Genesis Invitational, the Arnold Palmer Invitational and the Memorial Tournament -- all offer $4 million first-place prizes to the champions.
