Brooks Koepka says he doesn't know if he's going to leave LIV Golf after his contract with the Saudi-owned tour ends, but he has vowed to see his contract through to its end.
Speaking ahead of the LIV Golf Singapore this week in the Asian city-state, Koepka was asked about remarks made by Fred Couples that suggested the five-time major winner was preparing to leave LIV Golf and return go the PGA Tour when his contract ends. Koepka pushed back on what Couples, the 1992 Masters champion, said.
"I've got a contract obligation out here to fulfill, and then we'll see what happens," Koepka said. "I don't know where I'm going, so I don't know how everybody else does."
While that doesn't sound like a ringing endorsement of a second contract with LIV Golf, Koepka also said he "isn't in those rooms" where discussions are being had between the PGA Tour and LIV Golf's owners, the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund, about a potential future agreement to bring men's pro golf back together.
Koepka, whose agreement term is unknown, said he's preparing for major championship season, starting with Augusta National, and then alluded to his LIV Golf team, Smash GC.
"Right now I'm just focused on how do I play better, how do I play better in the majors, how does this team win, and then we'll figure out next year and how to play better again," he said. "It's the same thing. It's just a revolving cycle.
"I've got nothing. Everybody else seems to know more than I do."
