The Riviera Country Club, home to the Tiger Woods-hosted The Genesis Invitational on the PGA Tour, is in the mandatory evacuation zone for the Pacific Palisades wildfire.
The fire started Tuesday morning just north of Los Angeles around 10 a.m. local time and quickly spread to cover more than 200 acres in just 90 minutes. High winds fueled the flame movement, and the fire grew to cover more than 750 acres by 2:30 p.m. local time.
Thick plumes of black smoke were seen in the skyline, indicating serious damage.

Riviera Country Club largely sits in a valley with enormous houses surrounding them on higher ground around the perimeter of the club. People and their homes are the biggest concerns for LA City emergency officials as they fight this fire.
The Genesis Invitational is set to be played as the fourth Signature event of the year on the PGA Tour from February 13-16. Hideki Matsuyama is the defending champion of the event, and Woods has an exemption into the tournament as a PGA Tour player with at least 80 official career wins.
