Tiger Woods and Charlie Woods are tied for the lead heading into the final round of the 2024 PNC Championship in Florida, and the duo are playing a great ham-and-egg style of golf that works at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club.
The 15-time major champion looks dramatically different because of injuries, surgeries and the 2021 car wreck that changed his legs forever. Woods is also no longer wearing Nike.
Now Woods is wearing a baseball cap, and he's got a new logo on that hat.
The logo on Tiger Woods's hat at the 2024 PNC Championship is for his apparel brand, Sun Day Red. Woods is a partial owner of the brand, along with TaylorMade Golf, and it was designed as an homage to Woods' career.
The Sun Day Red name is an obvious play on Tiger Woods wearing red on Sundays throughout the course of his career. Woods' Sunday red shirts became iconic and have been a key part in all the crucial imagery of his playing career.
The logo for Sun Day Red is also kind of an obvious play on Woods' career. It's the outline of a tiger, and that Tiger has 15 different stripes on it -- one for each of the major championships Woods has won.
Woods has been wearing Sun Day Red since the line was announced in February 2024 at The Genesis Invitational on the PGA Tour. The line makes shirts, pullovers, hoodies, shoes and other accessories -- many of which are a lookback in some way on what Woods has worn througout his career.
Woods no longer wears the Nike swoosh, and he doesn't wear FootJoy golf shoes either, going to his Sun Day Red shoe. The times have changed for Woods, who will turn 49 on December 30.
With his new look, Woods is hopeful that fans will look to still wear what he's wearing.
