2019 The Challenge: Japan Skins purse, winner’s share, prize money payout

The 2019 The Challenge: Japan Skins purse is set for $350,000, with the winner's share based on the total number of skins the winning player earns in 18 holes. Money is not paid according to the PGA Tour's prize money distribution chart.

The Challenge: Japan Skins field features Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Hideki Matsuyama and Jason Day competing against each other in a skins game format. The format determines how much money each player earns. A skin is won on a whole when a single player scores the lowest among the four players on that hole. If more than one player ties for the lowest score on the hole, then the money for that hole is carried over to the next hole, building the pot. The money per hole increases throughout the round, offering more drama toward the end.

For the first six holes, skins will be $10,000 each. For the next six holes, they'll be $15,000 each. For hole Nos. 13-17, skins are $20,000 each. There will be a $100,000 super skin on the final hole.

In addition to the skins, there will be other conditions and situations in which the players can earn money.

The event is played this year at Accordia Golf Narashino Country Club in Chiba, Japan.
