2019 Sentry Tournament of Champions field: How to qualify, earn exemptions

Sentry Tournament of Champions tournament logo

The 2019 Sentry Tournament of Champions field offers just a single way into the no-cut tournament, making it one of a handful tournaments on the PGA Tour schedule to offer just one way to qualify.

The Sentry Tournament of Champions exemption criteria is simply to win a PGA Tour-sanctioned event including and since the last Sentry Tournament of Champions. Basically, a PGA Tour winner in the last 52 weeks is eligible, and no one else. The defending champion is, of course exempt.

The Sentry Tournament of Champions is a no-cut event, offering 500 FedEx Cup points to the winner and Official World Golf Ranking points for the strength of its field.

The only other tournaments to offer a single qualifying criteria are the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play, The Northern Trust, the BMW Championship and the Tour Championship.
