Jason Dufner apparently doesn't have a hat deal in 2018 -- so far, at least -- and that means he's free to wear whatever hat he'd like, with any design or logo. And he took full advantage of that at the 2018 Sentry Tournament of Champions.
Most players have a primary equipment sponsor, or they have some other sponsor which will want their logo on a player's hat. Without that deal and no PGA Tour regulation on wearing non-offensive hats, Dufner can wear whatever he wants.
Among Dufner's hat choices this week:
- a camo Toronto Blue Jays hat
- a Biggie Smalls/Notorious B.I.G. silhouette hat
- two Blueline Surf and Paddle Company hats, including a camo and American flag style
Please let this continue. Dufner's hat choices were awesome this week, so hopefully he'll keep going in wearing some awesome hats throughout the year. Even if he lands a sponsor deal, it has to be on the side of the hat.
