Clubhouse fire leads to final-round cancellation of Ladies Euro Tour Access event

The Ladies European Tour Access Series, the LET equivalent of the LPGA's Symetra Tour, had to cancel the final round of this week's 54-hole event, the Foxconn Czech Ladies Challenge, on Saturday because of a clubhouse fire.

Several players tweeted footage of the clubhouse fire at Casa Serena Golf Club in the Czech Republic, with players scrambling to get away from the blaze, which started in the club storage area, and protect some of their belongings.

After play was delayed, LET Access Series officials chose to cancel the third round and hold a three-hole aggregate-score playoff between the top three players on the leaderboard after Round 2. Lucia Andre birdied the second hole of three to finish at 1 under par and beat Agathe Sauzon and Nina Muehl.
