2017 US Open cut line: Who made the weekend at Erin Hills?

With two rounds in at the 2017 US Open at Erin Hills, the 36-hole cut has been made to the top 60 players and ties, in accordance with the US Open cut rule.

Ultimately, the cut line was determined as 1-over 145 on the par-72 course. Four players share the lead at 7-under 137, with Paul Casey, Brooks Koepka, Tommy Fleetwood and Brian Harman tied for first.

All told, 68 players finished at 1 over or better, meaning there will be 34 tee times on Saturday and Sunday, going in twosomes from the first tee. This means the every player in the field is currently within a decent reach of winning the championship.

The 2017 US Open cut line fell short of the lowest cumulative score for the cut in championship history., a mark held by the 3-over 143 that set the cut at the 2003 US Open at Olympia Fields. However, it did tie the record for the lowest cut against par, with the 1-over mark match fellow par-72 host Medinah No. 3 in 1990.

The most players to make a cut in the US Open is the 108 that made the cut in 1996 at Oakland Hills, back when the 10-shot rule was in effect.

Notable names to miss the cut

Among the top names to miss the cut are the top three players in the Official World Golf Ranking, with defending champion Dustin Johnson, Rory McIlroy and Jason Day trunk-slamming. That's the field time this has happened since the Official World Golf Ranking began in 1986.

Players like Justin Rose, Adam Scott, Charl Schwartzel, Henrik Stenson and Bubba Watson missed the cut. So, too, did Jon Rahm.
