Sergio Garcia is on the verge of his first major championship at the 2017 Masters using a red putter.

Garcia is using the TaylorMade Spider Red putter at Augusta National with a SuperStroke 1.0P grip. The Spider has been in Garcia's bag in the past, but the current generation model is tremendously popular with TaylorMade staffers, including Dustin Johnson, Jason Day and Jon Rahm. The model is popular generally speaking.

Why?

Available in black or red, the putter has high moment of inertia ratings, meaning there's lot of protection to keep putts on the intended line in the event of a mishit. The putter also has the Pure Roll insert to get the ball moving with forward spin sooner while producing a pleasing sound. The 45-degree angles in the grooves provide the angular momentum to put 25-50 RPMs of additional topspin on the ball.

The red model was developed at Jason Day's request, as he loved the contrast between the red head and green putting surfaces, which is a color combination perfect for the human eye.
