Billy Hurley III will be wearing red every Friday during the 2017 PGA Tour season, a nod to the cause dubbed RED, standing for Remember Everyone Deployed.

Hurley, a Naval Academy graduate and Navy officer, wants to use his platform as a PGA Tour winner to remind people that our military are still deployed throughout the world, with many soldiers and military personnel in dangerous places.

Remember Everyone Deployed isn't a totally new concept; it's been around since April 2015. A cursory search suggests that students at Mansfield University in Pennsylvania started the concept of RED Fridays with the intent of letting service members know they're in the public consciousness and appreciated.

There are some online clothiers who sell specific Remember Everyone Deployed clothing that is, naturally, red. However, it appears Hurley will just wear a red golf shirt as part of the campaign.
