Golf News Net, one of the fasting-growing golf media companies, and GolfGetaways Network are proud to announce an agreement that brings GolfGetaways' award-winning golf-travel content to Golf News Net platforms.
Under the partnership, Golf News Net will become the new home for golf travel content from GolfGetaways. On GNN properties, the golf travel section will be renamed GolfGetaways and will host written, video, audio and photographic content from GolfGetaways contributors, including the brand-new five-days-a-week “Talking GolfGetaways with Mitch & Darin” podcast created by longtime sports broadcaster, actor and celebrity golfer Mitch Laurance and veteran golf-travel journalist Darin Bunch, former publisher of Fairways & Greens and GolfGetaways print publications.
"We're thrilled to partner with GolfGetaways," says Ryan Ballengee, GNN’s creator and owner. "The GolfGetaways team has a passion for experiencing the world of golf, and that comes through in everything they do telling their golfers worldwide. That passion and capability aligns perfectly with how Golf News Net presents its alternative view to traditional golf coverage."
Utilizing Golf News Net's wide-reaching editorial platform and growing social influence in conjunction with GolfGetaways’ ever-expanding Instagram and Twitter reach, the team will share golf travel stories in a way that informs and inspires fellow golf travelers around the world.
“It’s really the perfect partnership for us and something we’ve been exploring for quite some time in an effort to maximize the volume of stories, video and additional content we have,” Bunch says. “We want to help GNN continue its upward trajectory as a platform on which all golfers can rely, especially when it comes to planning memorable golf vacations of all shapes, sizes and budgets and deciding the best ways to spend their time, both on and off the golf course, once they arrive.”
GolfGetaways' signature daily podcast — “Talking GolfGetaways” — aims to do just that as co-hosts Laurance and Bunch welcome a variety of voices from around the world of golf, sharing their best golf travel tips, destination guides, lifestyle offerings and compelling golf conversation.
“Darin and I have strived for a number of years, through my earlier ‘Golf Connections’ podcasts and video features, to bring the most interesting and exciting elements of golf travel to what we do,” Laurance says. “We’re now thrilled, with this partnership with Ryan and Golf News Net, to be able to share our love of golf travel and showcase our guests — along with our unique brand of fun and a relationship built on years of traveling together in search of golf’s best destinations.”
As part of the partnership, Golf News Net will also offer golf-travel packages and expertise from GolfPackagePros.com, an affiliated travel company which crafts and sells custom golf adventures in the Western United States and beyond, including golf-rich destinations such as Las Vegas; St. George, Utah; Mesquite, Nev.; and Laughlin, Nev. GolfPackagePros.com will also become GNN’s partner for the platform’s branded travel experiences, which will be available to the Golf News Net audience.
“We’re excited about expanding into the GNN universe,” says Brian Oar of his family-owned GolfPackagePros.com network. “We work hard to be the ‘ultimate golf trip resource’ for traveling golfers and offer an experienced-based booking philosophy that pushes courses, resorts and destinations that we visit ourselves whenever we’re traveling. And we look forward to creating custom golf packages for avid golfers who trust Golf News Net to provide them with the best golf coverage and content.”
Golf News Net's advertising and marketing offerings will also expand in partnership with GolfGetaways, offering destination and resort marketers access to GNN's affluent, younger audience through traditional and cutting-edge solutions, including native content production and GolfGetaways’ “Essential Destination” content-driven marketing solutions.
This partnership furthers GNN's mission to not only reach more golfers with storytelling but also to connect golfers in ways that improve their experience of playing the game. Golf News Net has more than doubled its total website audience over each of the past two years. In 2016, the GNN app was also launched for mobile devices, connecting users with news, a breadth of on-demand podcast options, access to GNN's burgeoning video library and live listening to GNN Radio, a 24/7 stream of original and curated golf talk.
