Jason Day got his 2016 BMW Championship off to an awkward start on Thursday at Crooked Stick Golf Club in Carmel, Ind., and it wasn't his fault.

Day was getting ready to tee off with Patrick Reed and Dustin Johnson in the first round of the third leg of the FedEx Cup playoffs when the first-tee announcer welcomed the world No. 1 as "Jordan Day."

The Aussie played it off well, giving a funny, recognizing facial expression before playing along with it all and waving to the applauding crowd.

Day already has three PGA Tour wins this season.
