Charl Schwartzel has won for the third time since November, winning the Vlspar Championship on the first hole of a sudden-death playoff against Bill Haas. Schwartzel and Haas were tied 7 under par (277), two shots clear of Ryan Moore. Schwartzel won $1.098 million as the winner's share of the $6.1 million purse.

University of Georgia senior Lee McCoy finished solo fourth on a course he says he's play "a thousand times." Unofrtunately, because he's an amateur, McCoy couldn't take home any of the $292,800 he would have made were he a professional. Instead, that money was split between Graham DeLaet and Charles Howell III.
